For a
moment Team Stockton almost didn't make it Sunday. They had
considered canceling because of some of the troubles to make it to
the event. Lead-off bowler, Lyle Kittell flew in after a short stay
in Alaska, changing his flight to arrive at Sea-Tac. Middle Bowler,
Kevin Stockton, picked him up from the airport on Saturday after
making the drive from Montana. And anchor bowler, Boeby Marks was a
late pick up on Friday. Even after altering the team when they found
out their original line up was 1 pin over the cap.
I can't remember the last
time a team dominated like they did. Usually it is a close race and
the championship up for grabs. These guys locked it up after game 7.
The fight was for 2nd and 3rd place.
Usbc's white pattern was
put out and the scoring pace was high. We had 1-300 game (Ken
Waltman Sr.), 1-299, 1-290, 2- 289 and many 278's. Over all
Tournament average was 210.
Another stand out was
Dawn Eaton's performance who found a grove and threw a lot of
strikes. Between 2 games she had thrown more than 12 in a row. She
comes in at 181 and averaged 208 for the day.
NEXT TOURNAMENT IS AT Roxbury Lanes MARCH
