QUAD Tournament Rules
·
This is an 8 game USBC Certified Scratch Swiss Trios tournament
open to all adult USBC members.
·
Each team must
consist of 4 members. Team average cap is 616 for 3 bowlers and 4th
is unlimited. Only 1 PBA Champion or PBA Member with a rating over 220 can be on a
team.
·
Entries will close at 8:30
to organize tournament starting positions. Lane assignments will be
assigned based on Team Average. Ties will be broken by highest
individual average. If a tie still occurs, next highest average will
be used.
·
Team lineups are established prior to the first game and will
remain the same throughout the 8 games. The first and second place
teams will move one pair to the left. Each round is position round.
First place will bowl second place, and third place will bowl fourth
place and so on. Team points to determine position will be broke by
team pin-fall.

THERE IS A ONE LANE COURTESY.
·
Please be ready to bowl when it is your turn to bowl. If opposing
team is done bowling the first frame before first ball is thrown by
opposing team, opposing team will receive a warning. A zero for that
frame will be issued after 2nd offense. (USBC Rule 322a2) If a team
refuses to start because a full lineup is not present, tournament
management, at its discretion, can declare the game forfeited.

USBC Rule 12 (use of unauthorized substances) will apply.

The Tournament director(s) will decide all questions not covered in
the tournament rules. Protests will be handled in accordance with
USBC rule 329.
POINT SYSTEM
·
A 6 point system will be used:

1 point for each individual game
·
2 points for each team game
·
Ties will split those points.
ENTERING AVERAGES
1.
Entering averages will be highest 08/09 USBC book average. OR (see
rule #2)
2.
A composite average of last 3 years, using only averages with 21
games or more, may be used. A composite average is not necessary,
but will be used to re-rate. If book averages are from a sport
league use average adjustment chart on page 66 from playing rules
book (chart available on sportleague.com).
3.
If no 08/09 book average, use highest current average of 21 games or
more. If still no average use 07/08 book average. Summer League
averages may be used if no other average is available, last 2 years.
If no entering average can be determined, use 210. Minimum entering
average will be 170, no maximum.
A.
Adjust Sport league averages by using sport average adjustment
chart. (Bowl.com)
B.
Multiply average by number of games to find each average value. Do
not use averages with less than 21 games.
C.
Add total pins together.
D.
Divide total pins by number of games.
E.
Bowlers are eligible to use the lower of the 2 averages, 3 yr.
composite or high last year book. The tournament director has the
right to re-rate you to the higher of the 2
4. Your entering averages will be re-rated up or down twice a
year, beginning and halfway through the 616 Trios Tournament Season
and using a numerical system to achieve such re-rates.

5.
USBC Rule 319a #2 will not Apply (10 pin rule), but current averages
must be reported to tournament director. USBC Rule 319d and 319e
will not apply.
6.
If you bowl a 616 Swiss Trio Tournament and do not cash, each member
of your team will go down 1 pin from current entering average.
Tournament winners are susceptible of a re-rate by an average
committee. A 100% vote must be reached for re-rate. Committee will
be appointed by tournament director.
Non-cash totals will reset at beginning and halfway through the 616
Trios Tournament Season.
7.
The tournament director(s) reserves the right to re-rate any bowler.
It is the tournaments intent to provide a fun and fair playing
field. PLEASE CALL BEFORE THE DAY OF EVENT TO CLARIFY ENTERING
AVERAGES.
If entrant does not accept adjusted average before bowling, entry
fee shall be refunded.
8.
Bowlers are responsible for verifying his / her own average, whether
submitted by the bowler, the team captain or others. If the
submitted average is lower than the bowler’s verified average and
the verified average puts the team above the team cap, the team will
be disqualified. If average reported is higher than actual average
and team is still under the cap, reported average will be used.
9.
Bowlers may request a print out of average re-rates and an
explanation of said re-rate.
FINES
Score sheets must be turned in within 10 minutes of
last ball thrown. If it is not turned in, in time, both captains of
said score sheet will be fined $10 each. Fines must be paid before
bowling another 616 tournament.
ENTRY FEE
1.
Entry fee will be $500 per team ($80 lineage ,$50 expenses, $5 to
300 Pot, $10 to finals, $355 prize fund ) with $125 pre-pay received
1 week prior to tournament date.
2.
Entry fee will be $520 per team ($80 lineage ,$55 expenses, $5 to
300 Pot, $25 to finals, $355 prize fund ) with payment past pre-pay
cut-off date.
3.
Sorry, no checks day of event. This is a cash only event.
Payout is same day. Bounced checks will pay a $25 fee and amount of
check, by cash, and check writing privileges will be revoked.
4.
At least 1 in 4 teams will cash. Prize fund will be returned 100%.
RESERVATIONS
1.
A $125 reservation, along with team line-up, can be made 1 week
prior to tournament date and qualify for Team pre-pay discount. Any
line-up change after the pre-pay deadline, new bowler will pay the
$130 entry fee. Reserved spots can be passed onto other members of
team if captain is unable to bowl.
2.
A $60 reservation can be made before tournament date to hold your
spot, but will not qualify your team for pre-pay entry discount.
3.
If reservation is canceled and tournament is filled day of the
event, deposit will be put on the books for future tournaments but
cannot be used for future reservations. If tournament is not full,
reservation money will go to FINALS.
4.
Reservations are on a first come, first served bases.
5.
Team captain changes must be made before start of tournament.

Please no checks within last week of tournament date. Cash is always
welcome.
BLIND TEAM
·
If a "Blind" team is needed during tournament play, "Blind" team
will remain last in the standings for the entire 8 games.
·
Opponents of the "Blind" team will bowl against team scores to their
left. (First game it is the scores to their right)
300 POT
·
All bowlers are eligible for 300 game pot.
·
The 300 game pot will be divided by all 300 games bowled during that
tournament.
Bowler of The Tournament
·
Bowler of the tournament will be voted in by his or her peers.
Brackets
·
Over division brackets are open to all bowlers.
·
Under division brackets are open to bowlers 199 and under and women
205 and under.
·
All women and bowlers at least the age of 50, will receive one free
$5 bracket with one $5 bracket entry.
FINALS
Finals are open to teams with at least one bowler on team, with at
least 2 tournaments bowled, prior to finals.
